Trailering Your Centerboard Sailing Models

If your boat is trailered long distances over time the bouncing motion of the trailer can cause degradation of the stainless steel cable and it's anchor point that holds the centerboard in it's well. Adding an extra roller, as in View A (a standard fitting) to the center bar of the trailer and releasing the centerboard to rest on this is recommended to prevent premature wear.

Alternatively, a webbing strap around the hull can be used or the centerboard can be blocked up on the trailer by other means.
