Diary of a Minto lover!
The following clips are from correspondence sent by Charles and Kathy Hall who ordered their Minto "Sunbeam" as a tender to "First Light".

After a search of about six months, I have concluded that the Minto (sail model) is the choice of tenders for us. You may remember my inquiries last fall, prior to the Annapolis Sailboat Show, when I requested information about the Minto. We have a Hans Christian 33T which we use primarily for offshore sailing and were researching for a hard dinghy to purchase prior to a planned longer voyage. We wish to order a Minto Sail model and one pair of Sitka spruce oars...

Good morning, Marie. I unpacked the Minto last night. She is beautiful! And Kathy is equally impressed. All fittings are superb and the finish detail is quite beautiful and looks to be robust and functional; in all, a work of art!...We will continue to be in touch as we commission "Sunbeam" and get to know her.

...We take a sailing trip up the Chesapeake Bay this coming Friday. We enjoyed the Minto on Carter Creek, off of the Rappahannock River, sailing and exploring with a group of sailing and power boating friends we will meet up with. We have already obligated to sharing the Minto with the group for their fun too.
Thank you again for such a fun and useful addition to our sailing activities. She is a "head turner" as is our "mother ship". A perfect compliment to our style of enjoying this passion of ours.
Regards, Chuck
