Here in Victoria we don’t get ice forming and can get out rowing all winter long. Setting yourself up for fast and easy boat access is the secret to getting out even when it’s nasty.

A number of boats left for worldwide destinations recently. An Expedition 17 model went to Warren Lowery in Lane Cove NSW Australia. The boat arrived unscathed even though the crate had been abused.

Marie and I headed South in our trusty FJ Cruiser with a Solo 14 securely strapped to our custom roof rack. Our first stop was a detour out to Astoria for a quick visit with Bob Hauke and friends who were excited to take a look at Bob’s future boat.
